A full time opportunity for a Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager is available in the Commercial Loan Department of Park View Federal Savings Bank's corporate headquarters in Solon, OH. Experience in commercial loan portfolio management required, including the review, analysis, evaluation, and documentation of financial information related to lending decisions for commercial loans originated, as well as managing an assigned portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities:
- Managing an assigned portfolio of corporate credits; monitoring and assessing credit worthiness of individual borrowers.
- Reviewing/analyzing financial statements including balance sheets, income statement and ash flow statements to evaluate the overall strengths and weaknesses of the borrower.
- Assisting in the restructure of credit arrangements, coordination of documentations and making recommendations for risk rating the borrower within assigned portfolios.
- Assisting with business development and presentations.
- Contacting/interviewing applicants and current borrowers to gather and evaluate financial and related data to establish credit worthiness.
- Ordering appraisals, credit reports, background checks, reference checks and other information as needed on loan applicants.
- Preparing the Loan Submission Report with special conditions for review by Loan Committee or Board of Directors for approval.
- Reviewing related loan, title and closing documents.
- Handling loan sign ups for all types of commercial loans.
- Handling inquiries from current/potential clients and branch personnel.
- Cross-selling Bank products and services as appropriate.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- A technical level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a B.A. level program in business administration, finance or related field.
- Three years of progressively increasing responsible experience in commercial real estate and small business loan underwriting and/or portfolio management.
- Strong, well-developed interpersonal/sales skills in order to maximize business contacts and develop a working relationship with potential and current commercial and small business loan clients, bank management and staff.
- A thorough knowledge of bank products, and department underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures.
- A high level of analytical skills to conduct initial loan analysis and make risk rating recommendations.
- Ability to use PC Windows based software including Word and Excel; working knowledge of automated underwriting systems.
- Ohio Notary Public Commission.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and/or overtime to meet deadlines.
- Ability to sit, view and use a pc for long periods of time and view documents and/or instructions.
