We are working with our client to recruit for an organized and driven Accountant to join their team.  Our client is just South of Pittsburgh and provides integrated wealth management for two families.  The Accountant position will work closely with other team members and handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping along with some administrative responsibilities.  They are a growing company and are looking for a passionate individual to join the organization and contribute to the efficient and effective workings by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail.

General Accounting Knowledge
§  Develop, document, maintain and continually improve systems, processes and procedures supporting recordkeeping, analysis, and reporting
§  Ability to understand GAAP and general accounting information and process data entry into the accounting system
§  Knowledge of family partnership and foundation accounting
§  Accounts payable, including processing invoices, following up with vendors and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
§  Post / maintain investment accounting transactions
§  Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and investment accounts and monthly financial close procedures
§  Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements and supporting documentation, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
§  Communicating financial results, including variances, to management
§  Assist in budget preparation and analysis
§  Assist with tax related projects, accounting and planning
§  Assist with prepare meeting materials for family branch meetings

Internal Controls
§  Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and documentation supporting the closing function
§  Responsible for the maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments, as necessary

Administrative Support
§  Work with entire team to support family members and day-to-day office duties
§  Filing and record retention

Role Requirements 
§  A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA certification a plus
§  5+ years accounting experience; investment accounting experience
§  Extensive knowledge of financial spreadsheets and accounting
§  Comfortable with technology in general; ability to update software
§  Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, and SharePoint
§  Experience with Asset Vantage and Adobe Professional a plus
§  Family Office / Wealth Management experience a plus; but, not required
§  Ability to plan, organize and prioritize many tasks and responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude; capable of multi-tasking with family and team members; effective time management skills
§  Strong written and verbal communication skills with family and team members; ability to handle issues quickly and promptly
§  Works well independently or in team situation.  Self-motivated, pleasant, and detail oriented, with minimal supervision required.
