Manager, Commercial Loan Doc Prep
One of our long term and reputable banking clients is looking to hire a, Manager, Commercial Loan Doc Prep, for their commercial lending business. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily supervision of the commercial doc prep staff to ensure conformance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Develop, coach, and support staff to reach successful performance in their roles. Recommend and implement new &/or revised procedures and processes based on trends and issues. Partners with Lending Management to resolve complex issues that affect lending documents.
Will support the commercial lending team by providing a variety of due-diligence and documentation review functions (order appraisals, title work, flood determinations, etc.). Prepare loan documents and address issues/concerns with attorneys, lenders and customers as needed. Remain up to date on all policies, procedures and training. Identify and address and/or elevate issues and exceptions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Oversees the Doc Prep department’s creation of loan documentation needed for loan closing by Lending Assistants and Lender/Relationship Managers.
  • Coordinates with Lenders, attorneys and others to facilitate proper documentation and closings.
  • Review loan for proper approval and processing completion; knowledge of proper commercial loan documentation necessary to protect the Bank.
  • Updates loans digital data and assembles documentation for Bank loans.
  • Creates all compliance-related documents especially as related to flood, TRID, HMDA, Regulation B and Regulation Z.
  • Prepares all documentation for extensions, modifications, and new commercial loans.
  • Ensures that all loans are being disbursed properly, meet compliance guidelines, & completed in a timely manner. Also responsible for ensuring closings are being set in a timely manner.
  • Reviews all commercial loan packages for proper documentation, determine if all commercial loan-closing documents were returned, and complies with the Quality Review Checklist.
  • Determines which loans are HMDA Reportable, reviews and verifies the HMDA packets contain all the correct information according to training by the Compliance Department and uploading to the HMDA LAR.
  • Responsible for making sure all files are uploaded and maintained accurately and Bank computer system and loan documentation is in agreement. Works with department staff ensure data integrity in this regard.
  • Ensures department is meeting stated service agreement deadlines.
  • Develops and maintains the Document Prep Department Policy and Procedures Manual.
  • Determine and clear doc prep exceptions, track for trailing items.
  • Willingly performs all other duties and project as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of commercial loan documentation
  • Experience with lending software and/or bank systems
  • Ability to learn and effectively use software tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines and ensuring accuracy
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, peers, and management
