Growth Creates Market President/Lead Commercial Relationship Manager in Austin, TX
A growing regional bank with locations throughout Texas and the southeast U.S. is seeking an experienced Market President/Lead Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM) to develop new commercial banking relationships and expand their market presence in the greater Austin, TX area.
The Market President/Lead CRM will report directly to the Regional President and will have moderate credit authority for lending and credit granting purposes for Commercial clients. They may also have the opportunity to mentor one or more Commercial Relationship Managers.
Qualified candidates must be very familiar with Austin, having lived in the area for many years, including currently. They must also be very well networked and active in the community, with a special emphasis on having established business relationships of all types and sizes.
It is expected of the Market President/Lead CRM to be in the community much of the time, instead of always in their office, as they will be meeting with key business decision makers throughout greater Austin. As such, candidates may live anywhere within the greater Austin area and use their physical banking office as needed.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications and experience:
  • 8-15 years or more of commercial lending experience
  • Ability to manage a diverse loan and lease portfolio, both in size and mix, including Professional & Executive (e.g., Physicians, Dentists, Attorneys, Accountants, etc.), Commercial & Industrial, Real Estate, Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas/Energy, and more
  • Strong understanding of credit underwriting criteria
  • Ability to handle delinquency and collection procedures as needed
  • Strong sales skills and interpersonal skills
  • Established record of growing new business, while fostering established relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred
